2018 Artist Profile  TREVOR HANCOX

Thank you for looking at my profile.

Since retirement, I have had the luxury of progressing my lifelong interest in art.

I paint using oils, acrylics, bees wax and Watercolours, the latter being my preferred medium.

The challeng of watercolours is a bit like living in this sometime uncontrollable world; You can't always predict their outcomes; however, I do find much satisfaction illustrating nature and my surroundings in the realism and impressionist genres, The  Australian landscape, seacape, animals, birds and flora; all afford me a wide range of challenging subjects.

During the last two years I have been encouraged by winning six people's choice awards at exhibitions and art shows; encouraging in the sense of knowing my paintings have wide appeal. My list of awards are pleasing too.

I have been described as an established artist of the Adelaide Hills with works in private collections in some 15 countries and all Australian States and Territories.

Having conducted solo charity exhibitions in five states, taught watercolours, conducted workshops and been an artist in residence, I welcome commissions and by arrangement conduct regular Charity exhibitions...the Lastest benefactor being the "Make a Wish Foundation Australia".

I am a member of the South Australian Watercolour society, the Painters of the Flinders Ranges, the Mt. Barker based, Hills Art Collective, the Stationamaster Gallery (Strathalbyn) and the Kapunda Community Gallery.

My studio/gallery is open by appointment to individuals and community groups.

Thank you for your interest....     Trevor HANCOX
