Falling Leaves

Description : Falling Leaves is an acrylic abstract painted with impasto paints on quality stretched canvas with 4cm edges. It is painted in pastel colours with dots of paint giving it a mosaic like appearance. My inspiration for this piece was to celebrate nature by painting leaves and seeds. Some of the paints used on this piece are pearlescent and have a beautiful light reflective quality. The leaves are bordered in gold paint which also adds to the soft ambience of the painting.

From the Artist:
'I am an abstract painter who enjoys working with acrylics. I love using bright colours and various textures in my work. I am always excited to discover the path that a painting will take as I explore the synergy of vibrant colours and textures. I can hardly wait to go in to my studio in the morning to check how a painting looks once it has dried. I aim to create works of art that are unique and give a sense of joy and celebration. I use my garden for inspiration. Nature renews my creative spirit. I delight in the secret garden spaces I have created and in bringing that energy to my paintings. Painting is the most joyful activity I can imagine and I am thrilled to think I can share that feeling through my paintings.
