The Dreamer (with Poem)

Description : Very rich impasto oil painting of a place and surroundings I love very much: The arts hub in St.Kilda Road in Melbourne.

Some believe van Goghs Starry Night painting had eleven stars because he intentionally linked it to the thirty seventh chapter of Genesis in the bible. This is where Joseph was given a dream about eleven sheafs bowing down to him. His exact future to be exalted as a leader over his brothers and a governor was forecast. Then he was persecuted due to his brothers envy toward him. He suffered much hardship. Perhaps like Joseph, van Gogh reasoned that he had endured much misunderstanding from others, hardships and rejection.

Everyone has a dream, but not all of us realize what it is. This painting empowers the viewer to be like a Joseph, a dreamer who realizes their dream, and by releasing their unique purpose through their artistic potential. The painting has a truly majestic presence when you see it on the wall.

POEM by Mark Rusic: The Dreamer

See the dreamer who ponders lying beneath the trees? Dreamed a spire arose as eleven trees bowed, shedding old leaves. The dream released an inner strength and clarity of mind. Imagination can soar as leaves in the wind; no longer in a bind.

The spire towers above, even past Eureka, on high. So too be that dreamer, as a child dreams to the sky. Feeling rejuvenated there arose a fresh zest for artistry and the arts. Many encouraged and become dreamers; excitedly do their part.

Powerful dreamers with masterpiece lives become renown. The way shown by Pathfinder many have found. Now darkness flees, arise in splendour, sparkling dawn rays. Who has believed our message and who sees this new day?
