Margaret Cafarella was born in Christchurch, New Zealand moving to Melbourne, Australia in 1974, eventually settling with her husband & family on the Gold Coast in 1989. There, Margaret took local Fine Art watercolor & drawing classes & within 2 years had developed her own individual style. In the next few years she achieved several successful solo and shared exhibitions within the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. Largely self taught in a wide range of medias, her works encompass an ever surprising range, from finely detailed watercolour miniatures to impressive murels, hanging in many private & commercial collections, across Australia and overseas. An enthusiastic and quite prolific painter, Margaret has aways experimented with different styles ranging from her highly individual works in abstract to her uniquely styled realistic landscapes & seascapes. Margarets works are more often influenced by the everchanging facets of the striking Australian landscape and the particular beauty of its coastline. Residing once more in Melbourne, Margaret, in her painting life has enjoyed much public recognition, with prominent aquisitions, awards, art prizes and commission paintings. These many works have proven to give their proud owners great pleasure and appreciation in value.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.

I have recently become a member of Gallery 247 as an artist, and am so impressed. Communication was quick and very personable. The website seems very user friendly. With the couple of questions I emailed I was looked after with a phone call and very kindly and professionally looked after. Highly recommend.
