I am primarily a watercolour artist now living at the Southern Grampians, Victoria. My artistic journey started by completing studies in Art at school. Inspired by both Italian and French masters. Early works consisted of graphite sketches of works by Renaissance artists. During my teens my graphite work titled “Anguish” was shortlisted from Australia wide entries in the 1975 Faber Castell for exhibition in Sydney. This early achievement inspired enthusiasm and acted as encouragement in my pursuit of art, accepting commissions for various works including portraits, all of which are in private collections.
From 2012 I devoted my time to my art, the love of nature is prominent and has steered me from graphite into watercolour and now to oils. I am currently a member of various Art & Botanical Art groups, Botanical art is a large part of my artistic life but not exclusively.
An attention to detail is prominent in all my work. Now living at the foot of the Grampians gives me the opportunity to paint in a relaxed country atmosphere and indulge my fascination for painting Birds and Botanical subjects.
I have won various awards along the way. Most of my works are in private collections around Australia.
