Artist Bio - Joe Faust

 Living and working in the Whitsunday region which is surrounded by constant inspiring landscapes is where Joe creates his paintings. Basically self taught, Joe studied art in his final year at boarding school, Toowoomba Qld and have since attended a few art classes where he discovered the rewarding medium of oils.

Over the past few years, through experimentation, Joe has arrived at a comfortable painting style intuitively expressing the Australian bush, using a combination of oil paint and cold wax medium. Joe achieves his interpretation of the landscape by enthusiastically applying layers of paint through  brush, squeegee and palette knife techniques on canvas, wood or board. 

Listening to music of all genres relaxes Joe  in mind and soul when he  paints, is very much a reflection of the kind of work he creates.
