Artist Bio - Jo TaylorJo Taylor - Visual Artist Art is my happy place and always has been. I love to draw, paint and create and am constantly inspired by all that is around me. I am equally happy using watercolour, acrylic, oil or pastel as well as a variety of other drawing mediums. I am passionate about growing as an artist and eagerly seek out workshops and classes to enrich my skills as well as creating art every day in my own studio. Subject matter is diverse and I can be equally entranced by the play of light on the landscape as well as the gestures and poses of figurative work. There are so many beautiful sights in this world I will never get around to painting them all, but I will keep trying and thoroughly enjoy the journey along the way! I have received a number of awards/commendations at a variety of art shows. My work can be seen on Gallery 247, Instagram (jotaylorartist), Facebook (Jo Taylor Art) and Bluethumb.com

Exhibitions 2019: “Nature Re-imaged” A joint show with photographer, Meredith Graham, at Joan Macrae Members’ Gallery, Beaumaris Art Group. 2016: “From Bush to Bay” joint Exhibition with artists John and Marg Quinn at Shirley Burke Theatre (G3 gallery space), Parkers Road, Parkdale. I receive regular commissions as well as exhibiting and selling my work at a wide variety of Art shows. |

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
