Artist Bio - Jenine Bell

My journey into the world of art started in my childhood with simple pencil drawings. I started out with Oils in the early 1980's.  In 1995 I decided to try my hand at pastels and after a while was doing works on commission as well as projects for myself. In 2007 I took up Oils again I had to re learn many of my skills. I am really enjoying the medium and find I prefer it to others I have tried.
I love telling a story through my art and have done a variety of works including portraits, landscapes, seascapes, many animals and birds and even the odd train. You can view my work on www.jeninebell.com.au.
Although my passion is for oil painting of wildlife and I have recently commenced the process of learning scratchboard and have had some surprising good results.

I am a member of the Wildlife Art Society of Australasia - acting as Treasurer. I attend weekly classes at the Glen Eira Cheltenham Art Group to improve my skills as its an ongoing learning process. I teach beginners oil painting and I am available to take commissions.
