Watermelon

Description : This is a bright piece , called Watermelon. The name of the paint colour is watermelon and I kept thinking of that fruit when I was painting it - it has an interesting texture - textured but smooth and glossy to the touch . It is painted on stretched canvas and has been edged with a slim wooden strip of Tasmanian Oak which ads a rustic touch .

I have worked with various mediums including pastels, water colour , and particularly oils. In more recent times  I have also been trying new mediums in the form of resin paints, acrylics and alcohol inks, which lend themselves perfectly to abstract work. I will feature more in these mediums in the future. I am really enjoying painting pieces in fluid acrylics creating organinc and cell like structures

I partcularly like to paint close up images of flowers and fruits and I like the effect of shine and transparency and light, sun and shadows. I like bold colours and abstract shapes and forms, and the abstract flow of paint and the surprises it leads me to.

I also like to do smaller drawings and designs. A lot of my art and designs can be viewed on Instagram under @artplusart_inese.edwards

Also I have featured many of my  designs and art on products, clothing, wall art, home decor, and many more items in Redbubble.com  under user name,     IneseEdwardsArt

My work can also be found on Pinterest under Inese Edwards.
