Description : A little bird was lost. It looked high up into the tree, along the tall trunks then into the lush canopy of leafy green branches and thought of its home. A home far away, up north into the sub tropics. Then I realised that little bird was me....missing Queensland whilst visiting the south. Train travelling through Mordialloc on route to Frankston I frequently passed these huge Monterey Pines which grow right around Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne.

Living between Qld and Vic has been a juggle in the past few years but with merits. Close to beaches on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland plus the rich rainforests just 20mins away and in Vic its the excitement of so much art everywhere in this creative state.

Yet I am still drawn to paint across the beauty of nature withg the signs of our progressive times: lamposts, electrical wires, communication posts and shoes! My work is like...realism, beauty interupted by realism of life including influences of climates changes. Its not Surreal, just real life....juxtaposed and so I put it on canvas. Well that's what I'm enjoying at present.

My work is often in acrylic, but when drawing/painting the human body unclothed, I'll use charcoal, pastel &/or watercolours.

Hope you enjoy it as much as me:)))
