Description : AUDREY - original art by EVE SELLARS. Meet Audrey; supple skin, slight glow... curves undeniably feminine.... colour whispers soft and shimmers.....

I used only the "Zorn palette" - 4 colours: yellow ochre (light tan), red, black and white. Its beauty lies in its simplicity and purity and it creates very soft greys, apricots, pinks, and of course, skin tones. It was painted with an impressionistic style - the composition comes together as you move away from the art. The sides of the painting have been painted a very pale grey and the paint has a sheen due to the brushstrokes I have used.

This painting may be hung either way - Audrey is lying or standing, depending on your mood. I have attached 2 wires to the back of the art so you may freely make up your mind. The back of the artwork has been signed.

I am a prolific artist working full time from my studio in central Victoria, with much of my art being held in private collections around Australia, as well as exhibiting in local galleries, restaurants, and at the Victorian Artists Society in Melbourne. AUDREY - original art by EVE SELLARS. Like something similar? I am happy to discuss commission requests. Best, Eve x

I was born into a highly creative family where live music, book signings and art exhibitions seemed to be a normal part of a child’s everyday life and upbringing. It was only natural that I eventually pick up the palette knife and put pigment to canvas. Today, I live entirely off-grid in a quirky house and garden, with my hubby and two dogs, on rambling acreage of bush, dust and stone. My days are spent at my art studio among gum trees, kookaburras, wallabies, and koalas (and the odd snake!).

You will rarely see me paint a landscape in the traditional sense. Instead, I prefer to get up close and personal with my subject, study its form and colour, its character and its flaws, and translate this impression into something new: cropped, colourful, suggestive, and alive.

So please, sit back, browse through my portfolio, and maybe one of my paintings will find its new home.
