A Breezy Leafy Day - Framed In Oak

Description : I love the silhouette of the gum leaf and the way the sunlight gives the painting so much colour. There is lots of texture and blending in this painting of my interpretation of the Aussie bush landscape. I live in rural Victoria and can see dozens of enormous gum trees from my living room windows.

If you prefer to purchase the painting unframed, please enquire before purchase. The price will reduce by $100 to $400.

Only the highest quality materials are used.

I was born into a highly creative family where live music, book signings and art exhibitions seemed to be a normal part of a child’s everyday life and upbringing. It was only natural that I eventually pick up the palette knife and put pigment to canvas. Today, I live entirely off-grid in a quirky house and garden, with my hubby and two dogs, on rambling acreage of bush, dust and stone. My days are spent at my art studio among gum trees, kookaburras, wallabies, and koalas (and the odd snake!).

You will rarely see me paint a landscape in the traditional sense. Instead, I prefer to get up close and personal with my subject, study its form and colour, its character and its flaws, and translate this impression into something new: cropped, colourful, suggestive, and alive.

So please, sit back, browse through my portfolio, and maybe one of my paintings will find its new home.
