BIOGRAPHY Since January 2003, Elizabeth has operated as a professional artist covering various subjects including the environment (landscapes, seascapes, streetscapes, cityscapes, flora and fauna), architecture (contemporary and historic) and life studies using a variety of media. These subjects provide immense opportunities to create beautiful and colourful artworks in an imaginative and contemporary concept, by juxtaposing the various features in each artwork to create energy, movement and emotion. Elizabeth has exhibited extensively in Melbourne and Perth since October 2002. She is a member of the Mentone-Mordialloc Art Group, Geelong Art Society, Victorian Artists Society and Artsource (WA). Elizabeth has received several awards and has held solo exhibitions in Melbourne in 2003, 2004 and 2006 and in Beverley WA 2008, and has also undertaken two art residencies in Beverley WA from October 2008 to February 2009 and in October 2009. Imagination is used to juxtapose the various features in each artwork. The artworks are colourfully interpreted using a variety of media executed contemporary concept. I am fascinated by the environment, architecture and life. These subjects provide immense opportunities to create beautiful and colourful artworks in an imaginative format. I continually explore different methods and styles to create artwork that capture the imagination and be visually pleasing. Heritage and the environment are recorded visually using many different media. It is often the artist’s own interpretation of how they view their environment and experience. The artwork I create aims to present the various subjects in a positive and colourful way to capture the viewer’s attention and appreciation. |
