Artist Bio: Faye Anderson |

Faye Anderson Profile I was raised in Camberwell and grew up enjoying the autumn colours and the wonderful light. My mother took me to the Melbourne Art Gallery, housed in the museum at that time, and I loved the beauty of the paintings and the way it was possible to go back in time and see the world through the artist’s eyes. This stayed with me and when our youngest child was born I commenced lessons with Max Casey and started painting. Later teachers included David Moore, Nell Frysteen & David Taylor. I enjoyed outside painting excursions with friends as well as painting at home with favourite subjects being Landscapes, Portraits and animals. Following a long break I resumed painting by taking lessons with Peter Smales and now I enjoy painting with friends and in my home studio. I have found inspiration from painting trips to the Victoria Market, shopping strips, country properties, beach scenes and even a circus. With a group of 5 we had an Exhibition in the Victoria Artists Society in 1989, and then with Glenda Wise at Elgin Gallery in 1991. I belong to Doncaster and Templestowe Artists Society, and have just joined Heidelberg Artist Society.
