Artistic Profile 

Bernie took up painting with oils when he retired, and is a long time student at the Stony Creek Studio of Warrandyte Artist, Walter Magilton. 

Bernie has been a regular entrant in local annual Art Shows at Box Hill, Mount View, Mount Waverley, Warrandyte, Mont Albert, the Bright Art Show, and has exhibited at the Camberwell  Rotary Art Show. 

He has sold a number of paintings at the above shows. He has been awarded several ÃÂÂÂĢ€ÂÂÂÂÂœCommendedÃÂÂÂĢ€ and ÃÂÂÂĢ€ÂÂÂÂÂœHighly CommendedÃÂÂÂĢ€ Certificates at the Annual Stony Creek Studio Annual Students Art Exhibition. 

 He was awarded first in ÃÂÂÂĢ€ÂÂÂÂÂœThe Best Small ArtÃÂÂÂĢ€ Section of the 2008 Warrandyte Rotary Art Show, and A Highly Commended in the same Section of the 2011 Warrandyte Art Show. 

In 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 Bernie has had solo exhibitions at Cafe Julia (Doncaster Vic), which were well received and resulted in the sale of several paintings. 

Bernie is a member of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA), and regular contributor to their various exhibitions each year.
