Retiring from my videographer/editing business just as covid pandemic arrived, I decided to take up painting and joined the Mentone - Mordialloc art group. I started out doing several landscapes, but my wife suggested I try painting birds, as I had been photographing them for years during my daily walks around Mordialloc creek. Much to the surprise of my friends and family, I seem to have discovered some talent along the way, (thanks to the mentoring from my friendly art group), and have gradually honed my painting to do my bird paintings using heavy grade pastel card (360grams) and water soluble wax pastels, to bring out the birds colours. Hope you will enjoy visiting my gallery on 247, and hope you'll find one that you like to buy. Cheers, Vaughan Wood |
