I am still in the early stages of my artistic journey. The last 2 years I have really expanded and have had the opportunities to enter different art awards and do some commission work. I did start at University studing Commercial Art but that to be put on hold due to expanding my family. 5 Children later it is finally my time to expolore my artistic expression again. In the last two years I have had the privilege of being a finalist in the Lethbridge Small Scale Art Prize Salon, receiving placed prizes in the South Burnett Mayors Aquistion Awards 2022,2023 (1st place 2 Catergories, Peoples Choice), Imbil Art Show 2023 (Category Winner), The Aspects Art Show (Two 2nd place Catergories & Sponcers Award) Asked by Wondai Reginal Gallery to have my own Exhibition Feb 2023 and the most exciting selection was being chosen for the Emerging Artist Exhibition by the Flying Arts in Feb 2023 at the Judith Wright Center. That same piece was only 1 of 2 out of 350 entries to be chosen for a year long exhibition by the Flying Arts major Sponcer Consolidation Properties in Brisbane. I really enjoy what I do and love to use bright bold colours. Everyone needs a bit of colour in your life, because colour brings joy. I mostly use Acrylics but also like to experiment with other medias, collage, mixed medium and sculpture. |
