Miranda Aubret is a French artist living in Brisbane. Miranda’s art is colourful, bold with abstract elements that she has personally developed to feel true to her. She studied at Milan Art Institute and now works from her home studio in the suburb of Brisbane. She is currently putting her art in this world and is a member of the Royal Queensland Art Gallery.
Miranda’s story is about evolution. Being extremely shy as a kid, this turned into fearing showing who she truly was at the teenage years. Feeling torn away between people pleasing and hitting walls every time she would express her emotions, it led to self-harm that left a mark on her body for ever. Until she listened to her intuition which push her to travel to meet her true self again. Self-growth, curiosity and spirituality are now values that defines her. Her abstract art depicts the complexity of the human emotions, influenced by her emotions, a combination of people she met, and her environment.

Through her art she is encouraging viewers to express freely their own emotions and embrace them.

Miranda’s studio is cosy and always busy of projects. She can enjoy Australian wildlife through her window: cockatoos passing at night, kookaburras laughing near by, pink and orange sunset skies. In the future, Miranda is planning to acquire a more spacious studio to work more with portraitures and make partnerships with local associations.
