LISA CHURCHWARD

Inspiration for artwork is boundless: in the textures around us and beneath our feet; the colours and shadows in nature and the built environment; and in the mark making by human hands and the
forces of nature. These are the strongest influences for Lisa Churchward, a multi media artist from
Melbourne, Australia.
Lisa has post graduate qualifications from the Victorian College of the Arts. Her practice includes
calligraphy and contemporary lettering, abstract paintings in resin and other media, and more
recently, eco dyeing textiles and paper with flora and metals. 3D works feature as well, in the form
of sculpture, stone carving, and artist books.
