My art studio is based in the woodlands of Upwey in the Dandenong Ranges. 
I am a participating artist in Dandenong Ranges Open Studios since 2012.

I explore genres of still-life and botanical works as well as bird studies and local landscapes. The uniqueness of the Australian landscape, its flora and fauna is my artistic inspiration. 

My work often includes elements of nature - foliage, seeds, textures, or native birds from my local area. 

I enjoy pleine air field work because it is allows me to capture an impression with quick and fluid gestures, allowing only the essence of the land and how I feel in it. 

I love pushing new paint techniques on canvas or paper, using acrylic impasto and fluid paints, oil sticks and other new mediums. I explore the emotional resonance of colours and the expressive qualities of mark-making to create the mood of a painting. 

My works are collected both internationally and locally and my art is recognizable in style as an expressionist / colourist painter.
