Carole Bann Ever since I can remember I have been drawing or painting, Over the years I mainly worked in Pastels, but now my mediums of choice are MetalPoint (24ct gold and pure silver) which I have been using for the last five years, and coloured pencil I have taught classes in pastel for Tafe, carving soapstone for Southern rock hounds, Hold private art classes and workshops for children and adults. 1993 - People’s choice (Autumn Colours) pastel. 1995 - People’s choice (Red wellies) pastel 1995 - 1st prize for (Penguins) water colour 2001 - Published painting and article in Pastel Artist International Jan/Feb 2001 (Old Timer) Pastel 2008 -2011 Group exhibitions Territory craft 2012 - Finalist - The Togart Contemporary Art Award, Finalist - The Mortimore Art prize for Realism, Drawing Finalist - The Mortimore Art prize for Realism, Smalls Sections 2013 – Finalist - The Togart Contemporary Art Award Finalist - The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize (Highly commended) Finalist – (two artworks) Fleurieu Art Prize Finalist – The Fleurieu Water and Environment Prize 2014 Merit certificate 2014 Goolwa Art & Photographic exhibition First Solo exhibition, South Coast Regional Art Centre 2015 Finalist - Whyalla Art Prize |
