I am a mixed media artist with qualifications in visual arts from Victoria University and the Victorian College of the Arts. I also have a background in zoology and ecology.  Many years of field work and my love of nature has honed my observation skills enabling me to ‘read’ and visually interpret the landscape in my own way.

My artwork captures the textures and shapes of landscapes in colourful abstract paintings. Each work evolves through layering, scratching back, scribbling and over painting using bold intuitive mark making.  Sometimes the image appears easily or needs lots of pushing and pulling before it is resolved.  Starting from a broad idea, the work and subject evolve through the process of doing.
