England to Australia a six week voyage on the open sea was a revelation for me. Starting a lifelong fascination with the sea. My family settled in Hobson’s bay. It was a time of sun and stormy weather days, spent after school on the beach. To hone my skills in watercolour I completed courses at CAE. Which gave me the confidence to join Carol Brett painting group. My work is predominately in Acrylics, I feel this medium mirrors the pulse and energy of a wild sea, or a ebb tide, sheltering tiny wading birds . I also work with watercolour pen and ink . I exhibit my work in local Galleries, in the Bayside suburbs Brighton Chelsea Mordialloc Williamstown Altona Sigma Phi Brighton En Plein Air Edges Art Gallery Elsternwick. Camberwell Art show and Sorrento. And just reciently at The Knox City Art Show. It’s always a delight to meet the buyers of my work , it’s fascinating to hear their reasons why they love the painting they have just acquired.
