My name is Janice Durbridge, aka Jan, and I've had a lifetime interest in all things 'art'.

I was born in Deniliquin, New South Wales.  My early memories are the sounds of river boats and barges passing by on the Edward River, the sheep dogs working, clouds of dust and the colours of life around me. 

The pursuits of  adult life have taken me places and consumed many decades, but it is still the colours, shapes and shadows observed during childhood that influence my brush and pencil today.  There is something mesmerising about a good pencil or the the perfect brush to start me creating marks on paper or canvas.

That someone else might also enjoy the finished work is a delight.
