I have been an art teacher in several schools as well as working with aged care. I developed Parkinson's so set up a support network called Painting with Parkinsons as it has been shown that art relaxes the central nervous system and makes people with Parkinson's feel better. I mainly use pastels as I love the soft blending and I will draw pretty well anything. I take photos of whatever takes my eye and all my work comes from my photos. I have had lessons from several professional artists but Elly Abrat was the best and she gave me confidence as well as knowledge. |
