Georgina studied art at school and was accepted into art colleges after she completed Year 11. Instead she finished Year 12 and went to university. She went onto to become a successful and well-publsihed academic.

When she retired from full-time work she went back to her first love - painting and drawing. Georgina regularly attends life drawing and en plein air sessions. She describes herself as a self-taught artist working from home.

Working in oil and watercolour, she produces landscapes, still life and portraits, including by commission.
