After trying out all the painting media (oils, pastels, pen & wash, charcoal, etc.), I've been enjoying painting in watercolour and acrylics, especially, exploring various textures on Yupo (synthetic paper). Watercolour lends itself to the intrigue and unexpected effect on the 'end result'. At times, something magical occurs, which was not planned, and which is not attainable in other media. With the acrylics, the vibrancy of their pigment really excites me, especially working with the 'palette' knife, creating texture and movement. I am drawn to painting landscapes, however, a still life can offer a challenge also, in its contours and the relationship between the negative spaces and the subject. Art is an integral part of my life now, and I am constantly excited about things around me, the shapes, colours, etc. I draw my inspiration from 'mother nature', painting 'en plein air' (outdoors) and my travels/visits to places like Jordan, Israel, Italy and Turkey- just to mention a few. I work in oils, acrylics and watercolour. Some of my work is in private collections in U.K., USA, Jordan, Turkey, Czech Republic, Greece and Germany.
