Artist Bio: Donald Bate |
|
Donald grew up in Hawthorn where sheep grazed along local Gardiners Creek bushland and were herded up his street. Local Chitties Bakery and Irelands milk were delivered by horse drawn carts daily. This colourful landscape was influential in shaping his art passion. His art journey includes solo exhibitions at the Hawthorn Town Hall Gallery and the former Hawthorn Gallery as well as exhibiting at art shows on the Mornington Peninsula and across Melbourne. He is a generous donor of his art to Rotary and other philanthropic organisations. His intention is to always capture a moment in time to arouse curiosity, emotion and fascination. The floor is his easel with contemporary painting suiting his style with flexibility for the best outcome. |
