Kerry is a contemporary acrylic artist based in Adelaide, South Australia focused on bold cheerful colours.
Kerry loves painting in a generous strength of colour and her style is vibrantly expressionistic, often incorporating an energetic flow of courageous colours.
After nearly a decade during the 1990s painting full time as a clothing artist Kerry chose a career change to marketing before returning to her first love of art in 2015.
This recent transition to painting on canvas for wall art took several years of exploration before Kerry could dig deep to find her own individual style again in 2019.
As a clothing artist during the 1990’s Kerry’s specialty was botanicals with glitter and pzazz. It was quite the rage at the time. Sales through markets, boutiques, field days and fairs around South Australia kept Kerry busy but she wanted to learn more.
She then studied and built a digital marketing career specialising in websites and Google Advertising.
Kerry now mostly paints using acrylics, sometimes using texture paint to add more definition to her artworks.
Painting from her home studio in Adelaide Kerry is creatively motivated by the relaxed atmosphere of her own southern suburbs and the beautiful South Australian countryside. Kerry also takes many cues from contemporary design and her love of colourful interiors.
Kerry feels energized with joy and excitement each time she is outside with nature. It is all about feeling happy and peaceful.
