Artist Bio: Lisa Dallarosa

Lisa Dalla Rosa

Lisa resides in Bendigo, Victoria and works from her studio.

An organic painter, Lisa uses inks, watercolour, acrylics, encaustic hot wax and coloured pigments, enamels and man-made and natural products to produce her art. Intense colour and texture are used to interpret the Australian environment and landscape, creating the image of a feeling or experience one can share. Experimenting plays an important part in her work, encouraging the unexpected and fostering new discoveries.

Lisa is influenced by the Australian landscape and nature in general, being inspired by its beauty and spirit. Experimentation plays an important role, encouraging the unexpected and fostering new discoveries. She is constantly searching for new materials leading to new techniques which add refinement to established methods. Colours used are often earthy and textures add a tactile quality to the rich glazed surfaces.

Lisa has held many solo and group exhibitions in galleries, workshops and art societies/exhibitions throughout Australia and International/export opportunities feature during her career, being selected to exhibit in Toronto Canada after a successful Art Fest organised by Austrade in Melbourne, followed by exhibitions in Singapore, Dubai and New York.
