Ann is an Adelaide artist who has always had a passion for painting which was fully realised while a teenager living in the Northern Territory. Ann has travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas and is also a keen photographer.
She paints in various mediums - watercolour, oils, acrylics, pastels and pen/ink drawing. Her subject matter is varied – landscapes, still life, life drawing, portraiture and the medium she uses is greatly influenced by the subject matter. When travelling she always has a camera and sketching gear on hand. Her inspiration comes from the visual world around her and she is fascintaed with capturing people in their everyday life.
Throughout her painting career Ann has received tuition from well known and highly regarded Adelaide artists - Liz Gartner, Trevor Newman, John Lacey. Ann has attended workshops from interstate artists e.g. Joseph Zbukvic, Ross Patterson, Maxwell Wilkes, Catherine Lawrence & John Wilson.
Ann is a member of the Adelaide Art Society (has been on the selection committee), the Pastel Artists of South Australia, Top of the Torrens Gallery, the Port Adelaide Art Group And the Royal SA Society of Arts.
