ARTIST STATEMENT

Cathy is a Melbourne based artist and her work ranges from realism to more intuitive and ethereal abstract and semi-abstract pieces. Cathy has been a finalist in several significant national art competitions. Recent achievements: in 2021 she was a finalist in the Art Lovers Australia Prize, the Wyndham Art Prize, the Lethbridge Landscape Award and the Kennedy Prize. Cathy also had a painting selected for The Block TV show in 2021. She won joint People's Choice Prize in the 2020 Albert Park College Art Show and she won first prize in the Australian Guild of Realist Artists' President's Challenge in 2019.
