In February 2011 I joined a beginner’s drawing class at Peninsula Art Society with Jacqueline Long.  This was offered to me from the Carer Respite Program.   I enjoyed this so much that I thought perhaps I could have a go at painting!   I commenced painting with Glen Hoyle in oil paints and was certainly challenged with realism subjects.

I have subsequently embraced painting abstracts and semi-abstracts, working with acrylic paints & my new obsession more recently, resin. I enjoy painting with my “art family” led capably by Carole Foster at McClelland Guild of Artists.

I attend demonstration days through my membership with McClelland Guild of Artists, learning from all the different artists in our community.

Attending classes and painting in my studio has given me a different impression of my surrounds and added colour to my life with people and paint!
