Claudia Haenel – Visual & Conceptual Artist.

I explore feelings and human emotion in the digital age.  Using erasure and the themes of memory and nostalgia, I create tension in the utopian ideal that the internet will preserve images forever.  The erased and appropriated images express the fleeting, transient, fragmented and embedded images of the internet. I have recently explored monumentality with images of urban landmarks in my On the Rise series.  I enjoy using all mediums to resolve my works.
