Catherine Barolo is a self taught artist living in Melbourne, Australia.  Catherine has been drawing and painting ever since she was little.  A quiet child who would draw for hours and hours escaping life in the 1970’s suburbs of Adelaide, SA.  Her paintings and stories were full of fairies, goblins and all types of animals and flowers the fantasy world she loved and imagined until.......life happened

Only finding time to concentrate on her art in the last two years, but this year 2020 has been exceptional.  Catherine and her family traveled for their first family holiday to Europe at the beginning of this year and to see the artwork of the masters in France, Italy and London, she was inspired.  Also happening at the same time was the wildfires that was burning our country and millions of Australias indigenous wildlife.  On her return in February 2020 Catherine got to work and painting her first series

“From the Dark there’s always a New Beginning “

Iconic Australian indigenous wildlife with Smokey black backgrounds.  As the world locked down from Covid-19, Catherine started painting better than ever and her love for unique Australian wildlife is in each one of her paintings.  Catherine is now waiting for the time she can show her work to the public as restrictions ease as the No photo truly shows how amazing these paintings are.

Catherine aims to keep painting Australian Indigenous Wildlife to show case its beauty to the world.
