Carin Lavery is a visual artist, specialising in watercolour; she also works in charcoal and pastel and writes poetry. Carin started painting in England where she grew up and now lives in Melbourne Australia; however her subject and client-base is international. She feels that the subtlety and drama of watercolour, its beauty and depth captures the world we live in like no other medium. Carin believes that, just as we have character, so do trees, clouds and the earth. She says "A tree can be strong, willowy, majestic; clouds can be threatening, soft, peaceful. My paintings are free-flowing, alive, dynamic; my poems are sharp, quick and intense - whether full of laughter or pain". "I create paintings of nature inspired from my world, and paintings that hold meaning to you, from your world". "My aim is to provide you with a lasting memory that makes you smile and adds joy to your life. I feel very privileged to be able to connect with you in this way".
